Metropolis – Poster and Book Cover

This illustration is my interpretation of Fritz Lang’s iconic movie Metropolis. Initially, I created this poster for an exhibition with the French Institute of Aachen during the Aachener Kunstroute, following the theme of French and German culture. In this exhibition, I presented illustrations of my personal interpretations of well-known French and German movies. The goal was to engage people in guessing the movies and reflecting on them in a new way, as well as highlighting the richness of German and French cinema culture. Why did I also turn it into a book cover? Because book covers are a field I enjoy working in, and I want to attract authors and publishers so we can collaborate on creating beautiful covers.
