Label design for Ixsir
In 2025, IXSIR partnered with Rebirth Beirut (an NGO dedicated to the sustainable development of Beirut) to bring light back to Lebanon’s capital through limited-edition wine bottles that celebrate joy and capture the spirit of the holidays.
They launched a design competition, won by this design, which was then featured on their Altitudes bottle collection.

Concept development
Concept:
Light up Beirut, a celebration of hope for the brightest season of the year.
Beirut is everywhere: seen from distant mountain campfires, from rooftops, or as a memory of joy and tradition. Like fireflies at night, Beirut is magical and glowing, reminding us of its everlasting light.

What inspired this design:
Beirut, culture, Lebanese people, campfires in Lebanon (music, food), nature (vines, fireflies), nightlife.
Aesthetics:
I wanted to include people, because Beirut is Beirut through its people. Lights and hope are everywhere: from the windows’ lights, the stars in the sky, and the fireflies. Inspired by my artwork On Beirut’s Rooftops, I added figures on the roofs, along with natural elements and a campfire, reminding us of the times when we’re in the mountains searching for Beirut from far away. I also loved how old Ixsir editions extended the design onto the label, so I used that idea.
From draft to final illustration
I found out about the competition just one week before the deadline, while others had been working on it for over a month. So I focused on the fastest and most reliable approach to finish on time and still have a strong chance to win. Instead of taking risks with a complex concept, I chose something that could appeal to a wide audience while making it highly detailed, since patience and detail are part of my strength. I had to work quickly on the draft, so I combined elements from my previous drawings, some AI references, and new sketches. The final illustration, however, is entirely original.
